Casa Abadía de Banaguás
Banaguás House Monastery
Impressive 18th century house, with its third floor renovated for tourist accommodation this year. Built in 1753, it is linked by an arch to the church of San Juan Bautista, with a Romanesque apse from the 11th century. Its proximity to Jaca provides all kinds of commercial and leisure facilities. Practically located on the Camino de Santiago and its Romanesque route, skis can be found in Candanchú or Astún in half an hour. A Pyrenean paradise that falls in love with its silence. In Banaguás, you can enjoy the serenity of the La Solana valley -where the climate lives up to its name- and the leisure, cultural, gastronomic, commercial and sports offer of Jaca. The Pyrenees and the Romanesque, then, shake hands. Skiing (Candanchú, Astún but also Formigal and Panticosa), hiking (the PR-HU 62 and 63 pass through the door), climbing and other adventure sports are within reach, from the heart of La Jacetania, origin of the Camino de Santiago.
