This beautifully restored 18th Century French farmhouse is located just outside of Bergerac, which ensures that it is fantastically located for guests wishing to discover the numerous chateaux, vineyards, historic sites and delicious eateries on offer in this popular region. The once derelict building has been lovingly restored to its original state by its French owners over the past twenty years. It is set in over nine acres of private land, half of which is dedicaed to mature gardens and lawns. A large outside swimming pool (14x7) and lawn area is perfect for lazing around on sunny days. Please note, access is via the large ground floor double bedroom at the rear of the house. You will also benefit from a large well-equipped kitchen and a spacious living and dining room, which has three sets of doors leading to the front terrace. Please note, the mezzanine level is not open for access. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms, one twin bedrooms and the main bathroom. The friendly and discreet owner lives to the left of the main house and tends to the well-kept grounds and the swimming pool. Please note, he owns four resident donkeys, sheep, ducks, chickens and pigeons, all of which are kept in enclosed paddocks and cages to the rear and far side of the property - guests are welcome to visit the animals if they would like. Saint Emilion is approximately 43km away and is a beautiful village to visit as it is surrounded by impressive vineyards. Chateau de Monbaziallac iis also surrounded by numerous vines that produce wine of the same name - the chateaux is roughly 17km from the holiday home.
