The house is reached by a 25 step staircase. The ground floor has an open plan lounge and dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a bathroom with a shower downstairs. There is a balcony with a stunning view, Upstairs there is a main bedroom with a comfortable king size bed and an en suite bathroom. A second bedroom with a double bed and a third with a single bed. There is a additional full bathroom. All the bedrooms open onto the upstairs balcony, which has unobstructed views across the ocean. Scarborough is a small conservation village adjacent to the Cape Point Nature Reserve. It is a perfect spot for outdoor activities: walking on the beach or mountain, swimming, surfing or kite-surfing. The house is 10 minutes' walk from the white sandy beach. Also within easy walking distance are 3 restaurants and a deli which sells fresh and organic produce, local craft beer and wine, fresh juices, coffee, homemade ice-cream and fresh baked bread. The area is a birder's paradise. Watch endemic Cape Sugarbird and sunbirds in the fynbos garden and African Black Oyster Catchers on the beach. The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve (ostrich, fynbos and marine species), Kommetjie (terns and cormorants), Boulders Beach (African penguins) and Simons Town (pelagic tours) are all within 10km of the house. 57 endemic species and 32 near endemic species are available on day trips from Cape Town, most of them being fairly easy to find.
