There is a lovely fitted kitchen and also a separate lounge, and all rooms give onto the South facing terrace and glorious uninterrupted views beyond looking over the valley and down to the river Dronne. This river in fact is the boundary between the Charente and the Dordogne and the area here reflects this. You have very attractive villages such as Bonnes (2km) and Aubeterre (6km) which has been voted one of the most attractive in France, and beach lakes such as the one at Aubeterre where you can swim or relax on the sand at one of the small cafés. Further to the North you have the very attractive county town of Angoulême (50km) and travel a similar distance to the South and you are in the famous vineyards of St Emilion where you can visit the château and caves.
