The nearest shops and restaurants are within a five minute walk away and Prades, with its bakeries, patisseries, chocolate shops, restaurants, bars and the weekly Tuesday market, is just a 10 minute walk. The nearest tennis courts and bike hire facility is within a five minute drive too. For guests in search of an active adventure, canyoning, kayaking and white water rafting is available at Marquizanes, whilst Vinca is home to a swimming lake (within a 10 minute drive). Highly recommended is the narrow-gauge Little Yellow Train, which winds its way from the valley to the mountain and is a marvellous way to see the spectacular scenery surrounding Prades. The train starts at Villefranche-de-Conflent (5km away), where you can also visit the Grottes des Grandes Canalettes. The Mediterranean beaches of Collioure and Argelès-sur-Mer are within a 60 minute drive. Barcelona is only two-and-a-half hours away.
