The location is superb with 3 pristine beaches (Rock Silversands, Daymer and Polzeath within a 2.5 mile radius). Padstow is only a short ferry journey across the Camel estuary from Rock. The caravan has an ideal location on the park and is within 25 metres walk of a fantastic 20 metre heated indoor swimming pool and sauna [open subject to current restrictions and purchase of a separate pool pass from reception]. The caravan stays warm with double glazed windows and gas central heating radiator in every room even in the autumn and winter (as they are usually mild). A double memory foam mattress and black out curtains mean that your sleep will not be disturbed. All bed linen is provided but you will need to bring beach/shower/hand towels. 4G WiFi installed in the caravan during October 2020. For evening entertainment there is a 40 inch LED flat screen TV with HD digi-box, blu -ray player and an extensive collection of movies on blu-ray disc. The caravan has its own private washing machine in a shed at the rear but there is a Launderette open in December and January 2 minutes walk away (you will need pound coins for this). Surrounded by mature woodland the Park is conveniently located on the edge of St Minver village which is a 10 minute walk from the caravan door and hosts the Fourways Inn which serves great pub grub. There is also a local garage which is very trustworth so you can get your car serviced while you holiday for a very reasonable price. St Minver is also located close to the iconic Port Isaac and Tintagel Castle that are a short drive away. For a great day out combine Port Isaac, Tintagel (Trebarwith strand beach for lunch) and Boscastle. Park open Facilities closed 6 Nov-23 Dec 21. Pool and Sauna were free ‘walk in’ for 45 minute sessions in 2021 The Park has a Manor House which contains a bar and entertainment venue plus a large restaurant that serves breakfast, dinner and evening a la carte meals. PLACES OF INTEREST St Minver local village just behind the park is unspoilt. If you don’t want to eat in the Park you can book the Four Ways Inn in advance (recommended as it gets busy). There is also lots of nice country walks and the village has a great garage within 5 minutes walk from the Park, Rock hosts Sharps brewery and Silversands beach a three mile beach that stretches all the way to Daymer Bay a gently shelving beach great for families with young children. Travel a little further and you arrive at Polzeath beach which is excellent for surfing and bodyboarding. Port Isaac is a further 5 miles north east and lovely place to walk and have and evening meal at Michelin started Nathan Outlaws Fish Kitchen. Travel further east and you will reach the village of Tintagel. Grab a Penganna pastie in the village and have lunch before heading for Bostcastle a quaint fishing village with lots of nice restaurants and pubs. Visit Padstow just a short ferry ride from Rock. Padstow is also accessible from Wadebridge by cycling or walking along the camel trail coastal path, a disused railway with some of the nicest views you could wish for. Further west you can access the surfing beach of Constantine Bay which has some ferocious surfing waves and tides (I can speak from experience of rip tides) and the spectacular landscape of Carnewas in Bedruthen (Bedruthen Steps National Trust). St Minver really is a great gateway to the North of Cornwall and a great place to enjoy your holiday and memories of a great time that I can guarantee you will enjoy whatever the weather!
