A great home base for families of WCU students during orientation, move-in, parent weekends, graduation, and big sporting events, the house is comfortable, casual, and beautifully set among tall trees. One of the best gathering spaces is out back on the wrap-around deck, where you can listen to the birds sing as you sip your morning coffee, light the gas grill for afternoon cookouts, and dine with a view of the valley and the mountains. Back inside, there's central AC to keep you comfortable all summer, a flatscreen Roku TV to enjoy on chilly nights, and a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and an adjacent dining table. Each evening, you can roast marshmallows around the firepit outside, toss the day's clothes in the washer/dryer, and use the high-speed WiFi to plan tomorrow's adventures. As for the surrounding area, it's brimming with activities for all ages and interests. The Jackson County Recreation Complex is just half a mile down the road, with whitewater rafting, kayaking, small town shopping (in Waynesville, Sylva, Cashiers, Bryson City, Highlands, Franklin, and Cherokee), antiquing, and Glenville Lake all within a short drive.
