Located in a cobbled cul-de-sac which is pedestrian-only in the summer months, this holiday property boasts a very varied history. At various times it has been a barn for animals, a cave for wine as well as a shop and has now been carefully converted into a modern, stylish holiday rental on 3 floors (NB the stairs are open and quite steep). Montjoi is a small historical, hilltop village and a short walk from the property is a well recommended restaurant and wonderful views over the countryside. The region is superb for hiking and pony trekking and is steeped in history with many bastide towns to visit like Tournon d'Agenais. Valence (16km) provides all the services of a small-sized town and a trip to Agen (30km) takes you through orchards of fruit tress and sunflower fields for which the region is renown.
