There is no private home on the island right on the beach and yet so close by foot to the best attractions. Your vacation will get off to a stress-free start as we bring you straight from the airport or seaport to the house. Iliana By the Beach is our family home built on land that was owned by my great grandfather. The home was built keeping true to the traditional Naxian architecture. We created our home to be beautiful, relaxing and create a memorable experience in this majestic, rich and fertile land. Our home is 100 sq. m. with an additional 35 sq. m. in balconies. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen and living room overlooking the St-George Beach, Chora (main town) and the lush mountains of Naxos. In less than one minute, you can walk to the beach along our own private property, giving you an unfettered view of the sea and beach. We offer A full garden complete with your own olive trees, fig trees, grapes and vegetables (summer and fall). When you walk to the beach, to the left is a surf shop with all sorts of recreational activities and a beach front restaurant. To the right, you will find 75 metres of open space before reaching an endless row of beach front eateries and cafes. Stroll to the main town, only 10 minutes by foot. There you will enter the marble streets of the main castle overlooking the waterfront. You can eat, dance, drink and shop with a plethora of choices. A couple more minutes and you enter the huge columned doors (known as the ‘Portara’) that welcomed visitors in ancient times. There you must enjoy at least one unforgettable sunset. On the way to the main town from the house you will pass by several butchers, fish markets and grocery stores all with products that are fresh, as they come straight from the farms on the island. The land that the house sits on is approximately 1,700 sq. m. in size and the home for rent is on the upper floor and is 100 sq. m. in size with balconies outside every room, including the bed rooms. The balconies and our rooftop allows full panoramic view of the beach, Chora (main town) and the mountains of the island. The home has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, one in the master bedroom and one located in the hallway near both the other 2 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 6 people. We also have a crib for possible accommodation of 7. GUEST ACCESS: A key will be provided by my parents who live in the condo/flat on the main floor. A Taxi, paid by us will bring you to the house from the seaport or airport upon your arrival. We arrange for a taxi upon departure. Price per night includes cleaning of home, and sheets/bath towels once a week. If needed, additional 20 euros per day will be charged if extra cleaning is required by renter. A housekeeper cleans the house once a week for every week you stay. GETTING THERE: We provide a taxi (free to guests) to get you to the house from the airport and seaport upon arrival. GUEST INTERACTION: My parents are always there as they live in the first-floor condo/flat. They can answer all questions in English and Greek. They also understand French. They are always available. You can also call me and I can communicate in English, French and Greek via this portal. GETTING AROUND: - Agios Georgios Beach is a 1 minute walk. -When you walk to the beach, to the left is a surf shop. To the right, you will find 75 metres of open space before reaching beach front eateries and cafes. - Main town with water front and castle 10-minute walk. - Portara:15-minute walk and 5 minutes from main town. - Car Rental: 150 m from house - Islands Biggest Supermarket: 150 m. (5 min. walk) - Small Butchers, Fish Markets etc. From 100 m. (5 min. walk) - Hospital and Main Pharmacy: 10-minute Walk - Bus Stop 2 min. walk; to surfing, main town, bus depot and other beaches - Naxos is right in the middle of the Cyclades island group giving island hoppers easy access to Santorini and Ios to the South and Mykonos/Delos to the north. RULES Professional housekeeper cleans house prior to check-in and for 20 Euro extra per day, she can clean the house every day. Housekeeping is provided once a week for longer term stays. Access to our garden complete with olives, figs, grapes and vegetables (Summer and Fall). No smoking inside the house. Smoking permitted on balconies. No pets and no parties.
