Please ensure that you are aware of ever present risks to your children. *Travel cots are not provided. **Please note: A review of the tariffs and terms & conditions may occur without notice at any time. A touch of History: Built in 1866, Cawarra, an Aboriginal word meaning, ‘beside running water’ and with obvious links to the Cudgegong River opposite the house in Mudgee’s iconic Lawson Park. After a little research, it may have been named because in the year it was built, the ill-fated steamship called the “Cawarra” sunk off the coast of Newcastle at Stockton Beach, on July 12, 1866, being one of Maritimes worst disasters in the day. Or it could have been named by a past resident of the house who was a Lindemann from the great wine making family in the Hunter Valley; when she was married at her family home “Cawarra” in Gresford.
