Mahebourg Waterfront is well known for its cosy relaxed walks in the mornings and evenings and where you can experience the local culture. The Naval Museum of Mahebourg was built in the French colonial area. It is home to remnants of naval artefacts, the great battle of Vieux Grand Port as well as bones of extinct species of giant tortoises and the Dodo. If you are a shopaholic and enjoy good food, Bo'Valon Shopping Mall, which is only a 5 mins drive away, is the place to be. It has shops, supermarket and a food court.
