Luxury cottage in Peak District
Luxury Cottage with spectacular rural views, private garden, sunroom and terrace
Originally three miners cottages, Acacia boasts three good-sized double bedrooms upstairs. The master has a king bed and ensuite shower room. Also upstairs there is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. Downstairs there is a study/bedroom with a small double bed plus a large desk with office-chair seating for two people. There is also a modern kitchen with gas range, large dining room, sitting room and large sunroom. Under-floor heating and wood burner make the cottage delightfully snug in winter. Outside is a large terrace with spectacular views. Local walks include the Peak District rail trail, Black Rocks and across the valley to Wirksworth. The facilities include good phone signal and strong wi-fi, and a flat screen tv with DVD player. In common with many Peak District cottages, there is no designated parking. However there is free parking available in the street and a small (free) council carpark very close by. A footpath from outside the front door leads into Wirksworth across the fields. Our caretaker is spending extra time to ensure very thorough cleaning between guests stays and we are following recommended guidelines.
