You will be charmed by this tastefully decorated 1 bedroom apartment (located on the 1st floor of the townhouse, there is one apartment per floor). La Maison des Cochers is a 18thC townhouse, combining old and new styles for (what we believe is) a tasteful result. We have paid particular attention to the confort of our guests when choosing such essential elements as the beds and furnitures. A covered private parking place at 50 meters from the house is available with this apartment. Located on a quiet portion of the pedestrianized main street (rue Nationale). Within easy walking distance from everything that makes Amboise an excellent holiday town. - Historical sites: 13th C St Denis church, Royal Amboise castle, home to François 1er and other kings of France, the Clos Lucé, last residence of Leonardo da Vinci and historical old town center streets. - Gourmet restaurants, excellent weekly open air Market on the banks of the Loire, featuring local specialities: Cheeses, wines, meats and local produce. - Bakery, newsagent, supermarket (open 7am-10pm) Mont-Sat, delicatessens, boutiques. During the summer months, the town is a hive of activity: night-time open air Markets, street performers, local artists exhibitions, open air swimming pool on the Ile d'or nearby.
