Enjoy everything the Yorkshire coast has to offer with Oasis Cottage as your base. The Space: Oasis Cottage is a three bedroom holiday home which can sleep five guests, across three bedrooms. The cottage benefits from open plan kitchen, living and dining area, private outside gardens and private parking. Upon entering Oasis Cottage you are welcomed into the ground floor and straight into the living room. The room is bright and airy, it features two leather sofas, a large flat screen, wall mounted TV and solid wood side table. The TV is fitted with Freeview and Netflix so you have a huge selection of shows, radio stations and films to enjoy. The living room leads straight into the dining room. A simple space with a farmhouse style table and benches for dining. The living and dining are feature solid wood floors adding character and charm to this beautiful cottage by the sea. The kitchen is tucked away at the far end of the room. Th pristine kitchen features light grey coloured units, wood effect top and chrome fixtures and fittings. The kitchen comes fully equipped with electric oven, gas hob, kettle, toaster, refrigerator and dishwasher. Everything you could need for a break away from home. The layout of the ground floor makes it the perfect overall space to enjoy as a family, cooking, socialising, dining and relaxing. The ground floor is complete with a cloakroom with WC. Take the spiral staircase to the first floor and you will find the master bedroom. Featuring a mango wood king bed and matching side tables, this room is stylish and inviting. With a large double wardrobe and small set of drawers, there is plenty space to store all your belongings away. The main bathroom can also be found on the first floor. The bathroom features a bath, shower, basin and WC. Enjoy a long soak or let the water fall over your head in the large walk in shower. The sea blue wall tiles and multi patterned floor tiles create a modern and stylish space. The second bedroom is located on the second floor. This bedroom is filled with natural light from the large window. Featuring twin beds, bedside drawers and separate vanity table this room is perfect for all ages. The patterned wallpaper, soft furnishings and bedside lamps bring a pop of colour to the space. Follow the stairs again to the third floor where you will find the final bedroom. This simple space features a single bed. Neatly tucked under the slope of the roof alongside a matching bedside table and wardrobe, you can enjoy a peaceful nights sleep in this calm room. Oasis Cottage is only a few minutes’ walk from all that Whitby has to offer, so if you’re looking for a place to enjoy some family time after a day exploring or a cottage to spend your days away from the bustling streets, Oasis Cottage is the perfect retreat. Guest Access: Guests have access to the full cottage. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date. Oasis Cottage welcomes children of all ages, however due to the spiral staircase we would recommend children under 10 are supervised at all times. The Neighborhood: Built in 1780, Oasis Cottage sits in the oldest terraced strip in the picturesque fishing town of Whitby. You’ll find cosy cafes, restaurants and shops just a short walk away, the cottage is ideally located to enjoy everything Whitby has to offer. The Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade is just a short walk from the property. On Pier Road, you’ll find fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants where you can sample the catch of the day. The other side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’. Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks. Getting Around: Oasis Cottage is located in the centre of Whitby so the town can easily be explored on foot. Whitby train station is just a short 5-minute walk away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station. There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
