You'll open the French doors to a perfect view of the Mediterranean in this apartment on the quiet end of the Côte d'Azur. It's an easy stroll to the beach, or to the magnificence of Menton's Old Town, or across the border into Italy. The balcony is the ideal place for your morning coffee or evening aperitif. You won't need a car, though if you have one, we have a reserved parking space for you, free of charge. The stately Belle Époque building (with lift) exudes charm. The Menton Garavan train station is 200 meters away, allowing you fast, easy transit to Italy, Monaco, Nice, and beyond. A full supermarket is an easy walk. Menton also has a daily covered market where you can find anything should you wish to "eat in". If not, there's no shortage of wonderful places to dine including the world-famous Mirazur, which is less than a 15-minute walk. If you're the active sort, Menton and the surrounding Alpes Maritimes can offer exhilarating hikes or cycling trips. If a bit less ambitious, the seafront Promenade le Corbusier takes you to Monaco with spectacular views en route. The opposite direction leads to lovely Italian seaside spots like Balzi Rossi. Menton is famed for its gardens, and several are within an easy stroll of the building. Others can be reached with a short car trip or a ride on the excellent local transit system, ZestBus. The apartment is perfect for a couple. A sofa bed can be used to sleep two more. The fully-equipped kitchen is at your disposal should the bounty of the Riviera put you in a mood to put together a feast or something lighter. Though the building dates to the era of Napoleon III, all modern conveniences are provided, including fiber optic internet access, WiFi and cable TV. However, due to shortages, we strongly recommend you bring your own disinfecting supplies.
