This is a self check-in property and we will ask you to show ID upon check-in. You certify that you are willing and able to follow the instructions you are provided by Airbnb through our check-in guide and house manual. No packages are allowed to be delivered to this address to guests during their stay. We are surrounded by nature on the two acres our house sits on. Even though we are near off the street, it's very quiet. You can run to Lums Pond which has beautiful trails for biking and hiking. At the end of the street is a delicious Tender Bones take-out shop. Their is also an 'Oceanmart deli' with sandwiches and simple amenities, and Wawa just minutes from our home. You have access to a large common area used only for guests with a three-in-one pool/air hockey/ping pong table. Comfy leather recliner couches. A round kitchen table with forks/knives/salt/pepper. A water boiler with instant coffee/tea available at anytime. A refrigerator and microwave. When the weather is nice, the patio is a beautiful spot to read, relax and watch the birds and squirrels in the back yard. We even have a hammock and wood swing overlooking our small pond. University of Delaware just 20 minutes away in cozy Newark with a fun Main Street filled with restaurants and shops. Rehoboth Beach and tax-free shopping at the Tanger Outlets only one hour and 15 minutes away. Lums Pond is only 5 minutes from our home with hiking trails for walking and biking as well as kayak and canoe rentals. The canal is only 8 minutes from our home which provides a paved walking/biking trail along the water. Chesapeake City and Delaware City are 20 minutes away with waterfront bar and dining. A public bus is about 15 minutes away. Christiana Mall is 15 minutes away and has a bus that goes to/from Rehoboath Beach. Delaware is perfect for tax-free shopping. Visit the Tanger Outlets at Rehoboath Beach. Philadelphia is about an hour away. Baltimore is 1 and a half hours by car. DC is two hours by car. New York City is 2 hours by car. You can take a cheap bus from Wilmington to New York City for around $50 roundtrip. This isa non-smoking property. No shoes allowed in the house.
