Luxury apartment with fantastic countryside views

A luxurious apartment, suitable for two guests, with balcony situated in Whitbarrow Holiday Village, where you can make use of the extensive leisure facilities such as pool, hot tub and gym. The apartment is located In a lovely rural setting on the edge of the Northern Lake District between Penrith and Keswick, close to the villages of Berrier and Greystoke. It offers luxurious accommodation with outstanding views across open countryside towards the Pennines. It has been constructed, furnished and equipped to a very high standard. There are French windows leading to a balcony with table and seating for two. This is a lovely place for a relaxing breakfast in the morning or for drinks in the evening. If you are an early riser you may see some spectacular sun-rises. The apartment is an ideal base for exploring the Lake District. Ullswater is only a few miles away and Keswick no more than a twenty minute drive. If you wish to explore further afield then Carlisle and Hadrians Wall are within easy driving distance. Or you could just relax on the balcony or use the leisure facilities. You will not miss your usual home comforts. There is TV, Bose surround system and DVD player. Bring your own DVD's or rent some from reception. There is a dining area with table and chairs and the kitchen features a hob and combination oven/microwave. There is a dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, and toaster. There are pots and pans for cooking together with tableware and glasses. If you would rather let someone else do the cooking, there is a restaurant and bar in the village offering a wide range of food and drinks. If you wish to dine in the restaurant then booking is essential but a takeaway service is also available. The restaurant is open from 9am for breakfast or just a coffee to 10pm with last orders at 9pm. There is a well appointed bathroom with bath, shower and twin vanity units. Complementary shampoo and shower gels are provided as well as all towels and bedroom linens. In addition washing up liquid, dishwasher capsules, tea and coffee are also provided. Pls ask reception if you require any more. If you wish to relax on site you can enjoy the indoor swimming pool, hot tub, and gym. Currently due to Covid restrictions these facilities must be prebooked. Arrange a suitable time through reception where you will be allocated a 45 minute slot for your use. The sauna and steam room are currently closed (again due to Covid) but hopefully should re-open soon as restrictions are lifted. There is a 9-hole putting green on site and an 18-hole mini golf course if golf is your thing, or you can have a game of chess on the giant chess board close to reception. Unfortunately pets are not allowed on site but there are 5* kennels - Berrier Boarders – close at hand. Any bookings will be fully refunded should travel not be possible under Covid restrictions. Please note that the apartment is situated on the first floor of the block and can be accessed by stairs or lift. Should fire alarms be activated, the lift will become unoperational, so is not ideal for anyone who is unable to use the stairs in such an event.
