Château d'Esparron is not a palace or a luxury hotel but simply a beautiful and authentic Provencal castle with original furniture and family. Amongst other things, it has no TVs or mini bars in the rooms, but you will be able to use a common refrigerator. The bathrooms are equipped with bathtubs, not showers. The rooms are not air-conditioned, but if you close your windows during the day and open them at night, their temperature should be pleasant (provided that those who came before you have read this message). The only concession to the modern world: a lazy wifi. You will be able to admire the exceptional spiral staircase in front of the castle, but, without a lift, reaching your room will be a sporting feat. All rooms have the same bucolic view of the countryside (not the lake). It would be a mistake to believe that the countryside is silent. The noises are simply different from those of the city. In particular, your nights in Esparron will be punctuated by the ringing of the church clock and the hooting of the Little Duke. The Yellow and Pearl rooms are located above a fountain whose water you will hear running unless you choose other rooms. We are not next to the Verdon gorges: they are only 50 minutes away, but the road to the Valensole plateau to get there is beautiful. Pets are not allowed in the castle, but nothing prevents you from having your pet sleep in your car or entrusting it to our neighbour 06.71.54.26.42 who does "dog sitting". If the above has not discouraged you, we will do everything we can to ensure that you have an unforgettable stay with us!
