Stone Ridge Farm - Main House

This log home is a retreat set back a half mile off the road surrounded by a beautiful horse farm. The historical charm of the home is a short 5 minute drive to Cedarburg and 20 minutes to Milwaukee. Although the owners stay in the main house as well, the guests enjoy a private space with 2 bedrooms and a spacious bathroom perfect for couples. The farm was built in the 1800's and has been lovingly cared for and updated by the Binversies over the past four years. Last year (2017), it was a part of the Architectural Treasures Tour as a distinctive property. As you drive down the long, winding gravel road through a lightly wooded area, you are transported back in time. You first come upon the the Main Farmhouse and its large forest green garage. The entrance is just past the garage down a field stone path. The seven acre farm is also home to horses and chickens. The guests will get a key to the front door which will be exclusively used by them. On the main floor the guests are welcome to use the dinning room and the parlor. Sit down and relax before dinner with a wine and lit candles in the parlor. Please make sure to tell Sandy you would like this! On the second floor, guests will find a desk and breakfast island on the landing. Down the hall are the two bedrooms and private bathroom. This is completely separate from the rest of the house and guests truly enjoy privacy. In the main bedroom there is a small kitchen nook complete with mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. Dishes and eating utensil are also provided. The main bedroom also boasts a large walk in closet and hutch for your clothes. The owners reside in the back quarters which include the kitchen. This area will be off limits to the guests. We are located just 5 minutes away from the historic Cedarburg! An incredible experience with many boutiques, coffee shops, fine dining, and local brews. Enjoy some locally produced adult beverages at the Cedar Creek Winery, The Shinery, the Fermentorium, Silver Creek Brewery, and Händel. We are also conveniently located only 25 minutes from Milwaukee and 20 minutes to Port Washington. Car is the most convenient mode of transportation. Connection to the interurban bike trail is a mile and a half down the road. Cedarburg is also a great town to walk around in There is a guest house also on the property.
