This spacious property has a large mature garden with secluded areas for reading, and a large lawn for ball games and hide and seek. The garden consists of mature trees, shrubs and flowers which attract wildlife. To the front of the house there is a shady verandah under which a peaceful tea or evening drinks can be enjoyed. The dining area has easily opened French windows allowing guests to enjoy eating outside where there is a large garden table and chairs. The kitchen has a Rayburn cooker, which during the colder months maintains a constant warmth throughout the house. The sitting room which seats 10 comfortably has the benefit of a large wood burner with a basket of logs provided. The area in which the cottage is located has a wide selection of attractions:- the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, National Trust Gardens including Trelissick and Lanhydrock. There are wonderful cliff walks along the coastal paths of the rustic North Cornwall coastline. Polzeath beach is well known as one of the best surfing beaches in North Cornwall with lots of cafes, restaurants, surf shops as well as surf lessons and board hire. The beach has life guards during the summer. Daymer Bay is at the mouth of the camel estruary and is a big sandy beach leading all the way up to Rock with sand dunes behind the beach. The waves are smaller than at Polzeath so more suited to swimming and wind or kite surfing. Grenaway beach is between Polzeath and Daymer Bay and is a great beach at low tide for rock pooling. Rock is great for sailing, water skiing and other water sports. From here take the ferry over to Padstow and visit some of the famous Rick Steins restaurants or one of the many other great restaurants, cafes and bars.
