Despite the forest seclusion, we are located less than 15 minutes from Duke University, NC Central University, and Durham to the Northeast and UNC Chapel Hill and the towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro to the Southwest. Raleigh and other communities in the Triangle area are only slightly further away. No public transport near the house. 1 parking space available for your car. The Triangle area of North Carolina is one of the most beautiful and desirable places to live in the USA and has a wealth of cultural amenities and social opportunities. The kitchen has a refrigerator, two burner electric cook-top, a combination convection/microwave oven, a dishwasher, large sink, and all necessary cooking utensils and tableware. There is an expandable dining table (seats 6) and a storage pantry. A large moveable kitchen island with cabinets doubles as a work table. Your hosts Ellen and Frank, architect and AV consultant, are art lovers and love to share their collection. Proceeds from our airbnb rentals are used to fund travel scholarships for our visiting artists. The apartment is 100% yours. If you need access to laundry facilities you can just ask. You have a dedicated free parking spot and there is plenty of additional free parking on the street at the cul de sac. We are happy to have as much or as little interaction as you like. We are available to offer recommendations for the area or assist in any way we can. Quiet suburban neighborhood bordering 1600 acres of protected Duke University Forest land. Friendly neighbors. Lots of lovely walks. No public transport but readily serviced by Lyft and Uber. Free parking on premises.
