This newly renovated country cottage, only two hours from the Sydney CBD, is ten minutes from Seven Mile beach and five minutes from the historic township of Berry. The cottage has a large master bedroom with a queen size bed, ensuite, TV, DVD/CD player, reading lights, armchairs and is designed to be an attractive parents’ retreat. The second bedroom is a large upstairs mezzanine with a queen bed, three single beds, bean bags and a children’s library. It is designed for a second couple and/or a family with children. The light, bright and modern kitchen is newly installed and well-stocked with crockery, cutlery and cookware. There is a microwave, four-burner stove, oven, dishwasher and full-size refrigerator. The modern layout of the cottage ensures there is light throughout, aided by the floor to ceiling cathedral window in the main living/dining area. The private view this large window affords is of coastal bushland and an outside eating/entertaining area with a gas BBQ and a generous table seating eight people. The large, quiet reverse-cycle air-conditioning keeps the whole cottage cool in summer and the wood-burning stove and plentiful firewood make it cosy in winter, perfect for relaxing with one of the quality books, jigsaw puzzles, boardgames or DVDs available from the cottage library. If fun outdoors is more your style, the lovely Moeyan Hill bush walk starts at the end of your driveway. This cleared path through a typical Australian coastal rainforest has been rehabilitated by the local Berry Landcare group over several years and is now home to an array of beautiful Australian natives and the occasional echidna and kangaroo. Family-friendly Seven Mile beach is a short ten minute car trip away and the charming Berry village, with its famous doughnuts and plentiful browsing, only five minutes away. Your hosts’ home is also on the property, but as Housten is 21 acres of restored rainforest and typical Aussie bushland, your privacy is protected, unless you want to say hello of course!
