A short walk away is the village of Warton village with its local pub, where you can enjoy a traditional pub meal and local ales. There is a lovely picnic area at Warton Crag Quarry and many walks leading to surrounding nature reserves. The walk is within the spectacular Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Beauty. This region is also very popular with nature lovers, bird watchers and cyclists all taking in the shoreline, woodlands and marshlands (where you will also find the RSPB Leighton Moss close by).
