10 minute drive to downtown and central part of Los Alamos National Lab. There is a steep driveway and a set of stairs. Once in the room the bathroom is down a little hallway, maybe 10 feet with 3 steps. The room has a mini refrigerator, Keurig, small microwave. The bath has towels, wash cloths, robes, soap, shampoo, conditioner. Interested in meeting my goats, chickens and llama, I have an AirB&B experience. https://www.airbnb.com/experiences/425310 https://www.airbnb.com/experiences/551008 I think the best part about this room is the outside entrance. It gives a person more privacy coming and going. Based on reviews, people like that. Sometimes we meet guest, sometime not. The room has a queen size bed. We are early risers and our bedroom is above this one, something you should know if you are a light sleeper. The room does have a sound machine. PLEASE NOTE we do not have air conditioning. Los Alamos is at 7,500 feet. June is very hot, but the rains that usually come in the afternoons in July and August cool things down. This is a private bedroom and bath room. Since it has an outside entrance, you don't have to enter any other part of the house. I am more than happy to tell you about Los Alamos, what there is to see here and what it is like to live here. I would say though that we only meet about half the people who stay. I think my neighborhood is a typical Los Alamos neighborhood. Los Alamos does run a bus service during the week. We don't have much of a rush hour, but during that time buses run every thirty minutes. During the rest of the day it runs every hour. The bus stop is less than a 5 minute walk. It will get you to the main part of Los Alamos Laboratory. This is fine if you are doing work at the main part of the Lab. If you are working away from the main part of the Lab, say at the accelerator, the County bus service doesn't go out there. During the week, the lab does run shuttles in the early morning and late afternoon. Comments people have made is that they didn't know our home was so far from the downtown. It is a 10 minute drive to downtown or the main part of the lab. Also, our house is on a cliff. So, you have to walk up a steep driveway and then a flight of stairs.
