Artful Get-Away

Cozy, private and safe. The Artful Get-Away has its own entrance and private bathroom. It is a 5 minute walk to great restaurants, cafes and parks. Lyons is nestled just inside the foothills of Rocky Mountains. From this cradle surrounded by sandstone cliffs and parks you can access Rocky Mountain National Park, great hiking, skiing and biking trails. This room is on the first floor up 6 stairs to the door. It is the only bedroom on the ground level. There is comfortable firm queen sized bed. While you are staying here the bathroom and laundry facilities are your private domain. The bathroom is connected to your room and has a spacious shower. The room has a refrigerator, a microwave and an electric tea kettle. There is tea and coffee for you in your room. A cozy room for one or two guests with everything you need for a delightful stay in Lyons. If you fancy a nosh in the room there is a little table and 2 chairs. Wifi access also makes this a great getaway for working and creative projects. There is a large closet in the room and cabinet with some handmade pottery dishes and a few books of interest. Your room has everything you need. I am happy to visit with guests in the garden. While you are staying, It is preferable if guests only use this room. If you need to enter the rest of the house, just please let me know and we can both put on our masks and follow social distancing rules. I am available for visiting and conversation, for food and hiking suggestions and for answers to traveler questions. This cozy and creative home is just a short 5 minute walk to downtown Lyons where the best small town market, The St. Vrain Market, is located. They have an excellent bakery and deli. Lyons has 2 fantastic coffee shops with indoor and outdoor seating and many great restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Oh, and don't don't forget the walking and hiking trails galore! There are many great hiking trails within 30 minutes in most directions. Access to Lyons by bus is doable but limited. (only on weekdays in the morning and evening). Boulder is a 20 minute drive with great museums, nightlife and more hiking!
