There is a beautiful fully equipped kitchen with a second dining table. In the salon you will find a comfortable couch plus armchair, widescreen TV and a desk. Wi-Fi with fast internet is available throughout the apartment. access: The apartment is on the second floor of a beautifully renovated building from the 14th century. It has its entrance on Placa del Vi, one of the many beautiful squares in the old town. The apartment with its two balconies looks east across the square. So in the morning you can enjoy the first rays of the sun and it makes the apartment wonderfully light and comfortable. On the square there are several cosy terraces and good restaurants. Because everything is located under the vaults of the square and the apartments are equipped with double glazing and shutters, the apartment is always wonderfully quiet. You only share the entrance with the other residents so when you are in the apartment, this is for you and for you alone. For example: bike rental, restaurants, places to visit, book a taxi, print documents etc. Check-In: A late check-in is no problem but we do have a policy (after 21.00).Please note that a late check-in carries the following extra charges:- From 21:00 to 23:00, 20€;- From 23:00 to 00:00, 40€;- Check-in after 00:00 is in principle not possible.´´Of course if your plane is delayed and you arrive after 00.00 we will be there for you. notes: The apartment is situated in the heart of the Old City and is partly closed for traffic and you are not allowed to park there. Note! By car you may only enter 3x per quarter so use those three times carefully. For instance one for your check in and one for your check out. Although you may not park you can stop to unload your luggage. The apartment is on the second floor and has a spacious staircase but as in many of the historic buildings in the old town there is no elevator. neighborhood: From Placa del Vi it is ideal to explore Girona, because it is just a few minutes walk from the Santa Maria Cathedral and the Jewish Quarter. It is located in the middle of the historic center, just behind La Rambla and only 5 minutes from the Onyar houses. The old town is known for its wide variety of good and very affordable restaurants and small boutiques. It is highly recommended for those who want to be in a comfortable, unique place and want to explore this city on foot directly from the apartment. transit: Girona has its own airport just 20 minutes away, by taxi (about € 30) or you can go by bus for about € 3 and that will take you about 30 minutes. Buses stop at the train station, which is a 15-20 minutes walk from the apartment. The train station has a high-speed connection with Barcelona. In about 35 minutes you are in the heart of that other great city of Catalonia. With the 'normal' train you can also go to Figueres to visit the famous and beautiful Dali museum. If you come by car, you have to take into account the parking possibilities. The historic district (where the apartment is located) has limited parking facilities. You can always stop a few minutes near the apartment so that you can unload the luggage. But then you have to park your car somewhere else. There are various parking options and places. There is a paid parking garage available which we highly recommend: www.saba.es/sites/particulares Parking Saba Santa Caterina: Placa de l'Hospital, 17001, Girona +34 902 283 080. It is a nice walk of 10 minutes. They offer a multi-day ticket that is convenient and affordable. If you are interested, we can arrange it for you and give it on arrival. There is for instance free parking at La Copa car park, a 10-15 minutes walk.
