Our contemporary wooden house is located in a small wine-growing village in the Gard, facing the vineyards between Nîmes and Avignon, in a calm environment conducive to relaxation. You will appreciate the place, by its view, the sunrises and sunsets with a thousand colors and the song of the cicadas. In July the city of Avignon turns into a huge international theater. Avignon is only 20 minutes away, Nîmes 30 minutes by national road, and the Pont du Gard grand location 15 minutes ... We built our open wooden house due south with many picture windows for optimum sunshine in winter. In summer, these openings are used generously to create refreshing air currents. We did not opt for air conditioning in the living room and the kitchen because we live inside and outside and in summer the bays are always open. However, we have provided small mobile air conditioners that are sufficient for the bedrooms. The terrace is bathed in sunshine with a relaxation area with deckchairs to share meals and enjoy lazing around. The kitchen is spacious, fully equipped and open to the living room and the terrace. There is a large bedroom upstairs with a private terrace and 3 bedrooms on the ground floor directly overlooking the terrace. The salt swimming pool of 14x4 m and 1m, 40 deep on a flat bottom is in the direct vicinity of the house, will allow you to closely monitor your young children. A security roller shutter will allow you to cover the pool if necessary and for the night. You can park at the back of the house where the main entrance is also located. You will have a booklet with all the explanations necessary for the proper functioning of the house. Linen, towels, bath towels, shampoo and soap will be available upon arrival. Coming from the A9 motorway, you will have to exit at Remoulins, take the direction of Avignon, Estézargues is about 3 km from the exit. If you land at Marseille Provence Airport, you will need approximately 1 hour by car. From Estézargues, we have a few buses that take you around. To visit Avignon, free parking is available on Île Piot just at the entrance to the city. It will allow you to visit in peace. A free shuttle is available for the round trip in 5 minutes. We live in a small village of 600 inhabitants, dominated by its fortress-like church, Estézargues has a proven prehistoric origin. Its name comes from a Roman villa that once belonged to the Consul Statius. The old center is typical with a pretty fountain, a washhouse at the foot of the church, a magnificent view of the plain to the west of the village, the Porte du Consul Statius south of the 12th century St Gérard church. It was fortified in the 14th among the vines. Primary school, small library and a City (basketball, football) complete the picture. However, you will have to take the car to get bread, 2 km (small village of Saze) where you will find a bakery, a mini-market, a tobacco shop, a hairdresser and a wine cellar. However every Thursday on the place takes place the small market (bread, vegetables, meats). Otherwise, don't forget to visit our large cooperative wine cellar in the village. We are very well located for a very pleasant holiday! The Avignon festival throughout July, Les Ocres, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Uzés and its market, the Haribo museum, The Arles photo festival all summer long, The magic of the Camargue 40 minutes away (horse riding, flamingos ...) The sea is 1 hour from here, Saintes Marie de la mer and its surroundings, a high place of Roma pilgrimage, The Pont du Gard is 15 minutes away with its Roman aqueduct where swimming in the Gardon is highly refreshing. The small village of Collias is 17 minutes away. You can indulge in the pleasures of canoeing. Nîmes is 30 minutes away with its fountain gardens, its Romanity museum and so many other places to visit. Les Baux de Provence is 40 minutes away with its light quarries ... Marseille is 1 hour 30 minutes away, its Mucem museum, its Frioul islands, its Chateau d'If and its Mediterranean bay await you ... Monteux is 40 minutes away from the Wave Island water park and SPIROU amusement park. Pierrelatte with its Crocodile Farm is 65 minutes away. Welcome to our home in Provence!
