This is a beautiful stone, semi-detached cottage, open plan on the ground floor with a welcoming wood burning stove, used at your own risk, beautiful decor and comfortable seating, the bedrooms have brand new beds (summer 2021) and there is a large garden which has plenty of space for children and dogs to let off some steam. Located just outside the grounds of Trereife House, which is often used as a wedding venue, and is a Grade II listed manor house built in the early 18th century. Please note there is currently (Summer 2021) some building work being completed within 30m of the property, there may be noise during working hours - the pricing has been adjusted to compensate for this fact. Newlyn is a bustling fishing village with some traditional Cornish pubs surrounding the picturesque commercial harbour. It is one of the finest places in the country to source beautiful fresh fish direct from the market. To the west lies Mousehole which has become famous for its great Christmas harbour lights and to the east, Penzance, and an expanse of golden sandy beaches that lead around Mounts Bay to the spectacular St Michaels Mount. Lands End, Lamorna Cove, the Minack Theatre, St Ives, Sennen Cove, and a plethora of fantastic walks, beaches, and amazing coastline, steeped with tin mining history wrecking and smuggling, are all within a short drive. A holiday at Lowenva can be as action-packed or as tranquil as you wish. Accommodation Ground Floor: Front door opens into an open plan living/dining and kitchen. There are fully fitted units and appliances, comfortable seating and a dining table and chairs. There is a wood-burning stove that can be used at your own risk. Stairs leading to: First Floor: Landing with doors leading to; Master bedroom with 5' double bed, storage and views over the garden. Twin bedroom with 2'6" single, zip and link beds which can be made up as a 5' double, storage and garden views. Family bathroom with shower over the bath, WC and hand basin. Exterior: There is off-road parking on the drive for 2 cars 50m from the property. There is a spacious garden with a table and chairs, picnic table and charcoal barbecue. The garden is fenced but is not completely secure. Facilities & Services There is an LPG gas fired central heating system and a wood-burning stove in the lounge. The kitchen has a range of cupboards & worktops. There is an electric oven and gas hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle and an under-counter fridge with an icebox. There is a dishwasher. The sitting room has a digital, flat screen Smart TV with catch-up. There is an iron & ironing board and hairdryer. Wifi available for guests. Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included, but you will need to provide your own beach towels. There is parking available for 2 cars on the drive. No smoking. A maximum of 2 well-behaved dogs may stay in the cottage at a small additional price of £35 per dog per week. Please do not allow them on the furniture or in the bedrooms at any time. There is a booster high chair available upon request. General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is normally a Sunday. Short breaks are available during quieter periods. £250 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.
