Charming, Private, New Eco Friendly cabin on 2 acres. Five minute walk into town where you'll find the Mine Shaft Tavern, and the Hollar restaurants, Java Junction coffee house, galleries, shops, and the Country Store. The cabin welcomes pets as does the town. The Hollar even has a doggie menu. The cabin, is peacefully located, yet close to everything. Surrounded by cedar, pine and juniper trees, orioles, bluebirds, hummingbirds, are daily visitors along with an occasional Roadrunner. The Cabin is surrounded by the Ortiz Mts on the south and the Sangre de Christo Mts on the North for amazing sunsets and sunrises. The cabin is fully equipped with amenities to make your stay comfortable. Cell phone service may be spotty in the entire town depending on your carrier. WiFi is fine. The cabin has a TV monitor so if you have a HDMI cord you can plug into your compute and stream TV, movies. etc. Access to entire space including grounds, property is fenced but if your dog really wants to get out he/she will. Rattlesnakes are around in the hot months so watch where you walk throughout the town. Hopefully you'll enjoy the coyotes singing. Host always available if needed. Complete privacy with magnificent views of the Ortiz Mountains to the south, and Sangre de Christo Mountains to the north. Lots of land to hike where you'll find old marbles, turquoise, mining tools, a railroad and mining museum at the Tavern, only a 5 minute walk into the center of Madrid. The cabin is 30-40 minutes from just about everything...Santa Fe, Cochiti Lake, Tent Rocks, Albuquerque, etc., Guests can drive or walk into the center of Madrid where you'll find food, shops, just about everything. Madrid water smells like sulfur while it isn't harmful to drink it does smell, water will be provided for your use.
