Outside is no less spacious, with a large parkland style garden and a wide dining patio which links the house to the pool area. The relaxed Menorcan pace of life will no doubt be easy to follow here, with lazy days by the gated swimming pool  perhaps finished with a glass of wine from a local producer. The sleepy hamlet of Llucmaçanes (Llumesanas) in Menorca is situated approximately five minutes drive from both the island's capital town of Mahon and the much smaller but charming 18th century town of San Luis (Sant Lluís). A picturesque settlement (population circa 200), Llucmaçanes is surrounded by open countryside complete with vineyards and quiet country paths that are ideally suited to walking and cycling. The local shop that caters for most requirements is owned by a friendly Menorcan family. The nearby towns of Sant Climent and San Luis have some very nice bars and restaurants, with an even wider choice in Mahon and Es Castell including some fantastic waterfront locations.The fine white sandy beaches at Alcaufar, Binibeca  and Punta Prima are a short drive away, and are ideal for families with younger children or non-swimmers. The capital Mahon (Mao) and the airport are only 5 minutes drive from Llucmaçanes.
