The town, from spring to autumn, is one of the favourite sites for tourists who want to discover some charming places of the South Italy. The town is part of the municipality of Diso, in the province of Lecce. Marina di Marittima is a coastal site extending for about 5 km with great beaches next to lush woods with fantastic cliffs creating a corner of paradise immersed in the Mediterranean nature. Nearby the renowned Castro Marina, famous for its touristic harbour and the bay of Acquaviva, so-called for the countless waters springing directly inside the crystalline sea. A must is seeing the cave of Zinzulusa, unique attraction all over the year thanks to its stalactites, stalagmites and picturesque karst creations. A few kilometres Santa Cesarea Terme, one of the most known places of the Salento region, with thermal facilities for sulfurous therapies.
