The Old School House Port Campbell

Character home close to Port Campbell town centre and beach, 10 minutes drive to the 12Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and Gibson Steps The house used to be an old school house in a small country town called Carpendeit. It was built around 1915 and was moved to Port Campbell about 15 years ago. It is a charming rustic country house full of character. The Old School House is a leisurely 900 meters to Port Campbell beach and town centre and only a short drive to all of the main attractions of the Great Ocean Road. Please note: based on the size of bedrooms, the house is best suited to a family or group of friends up to 6 people. Bedrooms: There are two bedrooms upstairs: a main with a queen size bed and a smaller bedroom with two full size single beds. There is a sofa-bed in the living room downstairs which pulls out to a double bed. We also have a single mattress that can be used for an additional person. For any guests traveling with a baby or small child, there is a travel cot available to use at no extra charge. Bathroom: The spacious bathroom has a full size bath and a separate shower. The toilet is separate to the bathroom. Please note that the bathroom and toilet are located downstairs, the bedrooms are located upstairs. Kitchen: We are keen to keep the character of the house and have kept the kitchen rustic with the original school drawers, although it has all the modern amenities you will need for your stay: freestanding electric oven and stove with range hood, a new kettle and new toaster, pots and pans, plates, cutlery, etc. Heating/Cooling: There is an air-conditioner in the living room for heating in winter and cooling in summer as well as a wood-fire heater for cosy winter nights. There is a panel heater in the main bedroom and a radiator heater in the second bedroom. - If using, please ensure these are switched off when leaving the house. Outdoor spaces: Large deck that wraps around 3 sides of the house, 2 balconies upstairs and a beautiful, mostly native Australian, garden at the back of the house, complete with a fire pit. There is a BBQ on the deck for you to use if you wish.
