The tourist village of Excideuil has 1200 inhabitants and hebèrge every Thursday a market not to be missed. Its medieval castle is also the place of artistic and cultural meetings summer. The Manor has, among other things, belonged to the famous Marshal Bugeaud whose victory at the Battle of Isly gave his name to the street and the Manor.
