Its extremely private and quiet (except for the occasional Kookaburra birds) with no city sounds whatsoever. This is a home in the bush, but in the middle of the city. 3. Just one minute down the road is a little park with a playground great for when the kids need fresh air. Or you can follow the path down to the bay and fish off the jetty with the locals. 4. With gas heating and a working fireplace, the house is super cozy, super quick. You might not think you'll need heating in Sydney, but believe us its a luxury you'll never want to miss again! 5. At five minutes drive, Clontarf beach is a local secret where you can swim in quiet turquoise waters, or barbecue in the park and watch the yachts sail by. Home Truths • The house is reached by an uphill shared driveway. If you're not big on reversing, you might want to park on the road (plenty of parking). • The tropical garden is full of birds. You will always know when dawn breaks and become an expert in Aussie birdsong. • All bathrooms have two entries. Might want to knock before you go in! • Cute but nosy local wildlife means that you're likely to hear the possums chasing each other on the porch at night and may even meet them coming home after dark. • Studio in rear yard is locked and not for use of guests. • Pets are considered to stay at this property (although the back yard is not fully fenced/secure for a pet).
