Le Caillau - Luxury gite with restaurant

Le Caillau is a two bedroom gite situated the heart of the beautiful Cahors vineyards. Our restaurant serves food to your private terrace or in our enclosed courtyard. Views from the gite overlook the rolling vines of the Cahors Malbec region. We have a private heated pool and kids playground in the garden. As well as our restaurant we have a Café with a pottery painting atelier. The Café serves freshly ground coffee and a selection of teas and local wines throughout the day as well as a selection of homemade cakes. The location if perfect for walking holidays, cycling and visiting local vineyards, many of the best in the region are on our doorstep. The gite has a wood burning stove for the Autumn/Winter months. The Gite at Le Caillau is part of a 300 year old winery. Our gite has private access to the back garden which is surrounded by the vines of Chateau du Gaudou. There is private car access at the back of the gite. The front of the gite opens into the courtyard where you'll find our Restaurant & Café. You have complete access to the grounds, perfect for little ones or sunset walks in the vines. Our gite is situated in the middle of the finest vines in the Cahors region. The west facing terrace is perfect for watching the sun go down while sampling a glass of local wine. Local commerces are a 5 minute drive away. Private parking is available next to your gite entrance. It is a 5 minute drive to the nearest shops (bank, chemist, supermarket, doctors etc), but there are a few vineyards within walking distance if you'd like to sample the local wine. We have a Restaurant & Café on site so you'll never be stuck for food. SEPTEMBER - MAY: SHORT BREAKS & WINE TASTING BREAKS, PACKAGES INCLUDE DINNER BED & BREAKFAST OR ROOM ONLY Our restaurant is open every day except Tuesday throughout the year (every day in July and August). Our Café serves freshly ground coffee & a selection of teas, local wine, beer, soft drinks and a selection of homemade cakes. We also have a pottery painting atelier where you can relax and get creative. please note the pottery takes 3 days to glaze & fire so leave enough time during your stay.
