Summary: Isabella Cottage is located close to the heart of Pickering. Surrounded by stunning North Yorkshire scenery, it's ideal for visitors who love the great outdoors. It's also on the edge of a bustling, market town centre giving visitors a traditional feel of North Yorkshire. The cottage is fully equipped and sleeps 3 people (1 double and 1 single). No pets and no smoking. Self catering. There is excellent walking access to outdoor activities and local amenities. The cottage has a comprehensive central heating system controlled by thermostat on the landing and all rooms are perfectly insulated and decorated in a modern style to provide home comforts to guests. WiFi is available and free of charge. The Space: The cottage is spacious. There is a small indoor porch on the ground floor flowing through into a large living / dining area following into the fully equipped kitchen which is all open-plan. At the rear is the bathroom and a utility room. Beyond this is a small courtyard off which guests can access the south facing large garden including a large and contemporarily decorated summerhouse to enjoy relaxation. The first floor consists of two homely bedrooms; one double and one single. Guest Access: Access to the front is via Westgate and is all single level with on street parking. Access to the rear is preferred upon arrival via Firthland Road. A private driveway is marked by a plaque adorning the cottage's name. This private driveway provides free parking to the left and a quaint garden path from this area leads you past the garden and summer house to the rear door. A key safe is present here for guest use and access to the front and rear property keys. Keys to the rear summerhouse are held on a wall mounted key store peg between the kitchen and the utility room. The Neighborhood: Pickering is a traditional North Yorkshire market town situated on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. This gives excellent access to natural beauty walks and other activities. The town still has many local people living there and really is a traditional, working Yorkshire town. Some of the many other nearby attractions are; The North Yorkshire Railway, Castle Howard, Dalby Forrest, Eden Camp, Flamingo Land Zoo and Theme Park Rides, Go Ape, Goathland (Home Of Heartbeat) and Thirsk - World of James Herriot and Thirsk Racecourse. Crime rates are basically non-existent in the immediate area. Getting Around: From the cottage's location, you can stroll into Pickering and take advantage of all it's local amenities and produce. By car, the nearby towns of Whitby, Scarborough and York are very short drives. There are local taxi and bus services that are also available.
