Beautiful Gites sleeps 14, Angouleme, Charente

* The position and private terraces of the gites enable natural social distancing. We have implemented additional cleaning practices in all areas of the property, e.g. gites and the shared areas - gym, games room and pool area. Each gite has a dedicated colour coded seating area within the pool area. Set in a beautiful Charentaise barn, the connecting Gites, Fauvette and Souris combine to give families 6 bedrooms that sleep 14 in total. The Gite’s are east facing and look out onto the gardens with fruit tree’s and sensitive planting that guarantee’s privacy and the pool area. Tiled throughout the ground floor with Italian tiles, double doors open out from the open plan lounge/dining areas onto each gite’s private patio area. Each patio has table, chairs, sun chairs, umbrella and BBQ for Al Fresco dining. Each gite has a fully equipped french style kitchen with an electric oven/hob, a dishwasher, a fridge-freezer, microwave, cafetière, utensils, crockery, cutlery etc. All Gites are equipped with French and English television as well as use of our extensive DVD library. Downstairs is completed by a utility room and a shower/WC. Utility room has a washing machine, iron and ironing board, clothes airer, cleaning materials, vacuum cleaner, washing basket. There are upstairs and downstairs shower rooms with basin and WC. Upstairs the hallways and bedrooms are a combination of open face stone walls, wooden floors and oak beams that stretch the width of the building in the high vaulted room. Fauvette has a mezzanine landing that leads to the bedrooms in the double height open plan barn. There is a master bedroom, a double twin (4 singles) and a twin bedroom, sleeping 8 in total. Not far from civilization, but set in a rural location, Tillac is perched on the edge of a small hamlet surrounded by vineyards and farmland (typically wheat, corn and sunflowers). For 2020, we will be surrounded by sunflowers. We offer superb gite accommodation in the grand Charentaise barn and the cottage in the inner courtyard. With little or no light, air or noise pollution and just the sound of nature , Tillac is the perfect place to holiday, a place to relax, unwind, de-stress and enjoy a holiday as a holiday. A real opportunity to re-charge your batteries. The Gites sit in several acres of mature gardens with fruit trees and sensitive planting to provide utmost privacy. The bubble shaped pool is in a secure area and is shared by 3 gites. The uniform depth of 1.25m makes it ideal for non-swimmers and children. Sun loungers/parasols are provided for guests. The pool area is large enough for each gite to have ample The gym in the old barn is available for use by guests with exercise machines, multi-gym, weights, bells, mats and a games machine. Additionally, we have a book library and a selection of outdoor and indoor games and puzzles for all ages. Whilst being in a rural hamlet location, local amenities are within driving distance. The local bakers is a short drive away, the town of Mouthe-sur-Boeme is a 5 minute drive away, with Blanzac and Villebois-Lavalette about 15 minutes drive. The fortified hilltop town of Angouleme is a 20 minute drive, Cognac about 30 minutes and the Atlantic coastal sand beaches, just over an hour. We can arrange local wine tours, a visit to the local chateau or castle, bike hire, boat hire or even a ride in a hot air balloon.
