This 6 bed/5 bath home is ready to sleep up to 16 guests and features three separate kitchens with four ovens, two washer/dryers, multiple king beds, a game room with pool table, shuffleboard, foosball, and an 85" flat screen TV, and a separate casita (3br/1ba, kitchen, w/d) above the garage. Enjoy a soak in the hot tub with views of the river off the main level master or head down to the beach area for a little kayak or paddleboard ride. When you're ready to head off property, take a 5 minute drive over to Saugatuck/Douglas, here you can hit the local fudge shops, clothing boutiques, and the many local watering holes. This property and the location give you the perfect balance of seclusion while still being a close ride into town. Cancellation Policy: We hope you never will need to cancel your time away, but in the event that you do, guests are advised that within 48 hours of making the reservation you will be able to cancel with no charge. Any cancellation prior to 30 days before check in will result in a $149 processing fee. Cancellations between 7-30 days will result in a 50% forfeiture of total reservation plus a $149 processing fee. Cancellation within 7 days prior to check in will result in a 100% forfeiture of the total reservation. The SaugaBuck House is located just a five minute drive into town. Enjoy strolling Butler Street and hitting all the restaurants and shops this quaint town has to offer. From Saugatuck's famous art galleries to locally roasted coffee, jam and jelly shops. There is no shortage of fabulous places to ignite the senses. Saugatuck allows open container in the "social district" off Butler and Water Streets. Enjoy a beverage from one of the local watering holes and feel free to bring it with you as you walk the riverfront. Get outside and enjoy the nature that the area has to offer! With two kayaks and two paddleboards that come included with your stay, you walk down to your private beach and hop in the Kalamazoo River. After an afternoon on the water, head back to the house to fire up the grill. Enjoy dinner at the large dining table inside or have a more casual dining experience by the campfire(BYOWood). There are so many activities at home base but when you are ready to check out the neighborhood you can head to one of the many trails/beaches in the area. Take a drive over to Oval Beach where the sand literally squeaks under your feet or head to the Saugatuck Dunes State Park for a super scenic hike through the dunes where the trees eventually open up to a view of Lake Michigan. Local wineries with tasting rooms are plentiful in the area just in case you were wanting to expand your knowledge or just experience something new.
