This cottage is situated in a village in the Allier gorges, overlooking the small town of St-Julien-des-Chazes, with a warm atmosphere. Nearby: Ste-Marie chapel and Allier river very close by, Prades 3km (supervised swimming, whitewater sports, bakery-grocery shop), St-Arcons-d'Allier 4km (village of character), Chanteuges 6km (abbey, Salmon farm, restaurant), Langeac 11 km (all shops and services). The carefully restored 19th-century house elegantly combines stone and wood and opens onto a small enclosed courtyard (30 m²) and a small overhanging terrace (12 m²) lined with trellises. On the ground floor, a large living room with a dining area and a lounge area set in front of the closed fireplace opens onto a small fully equipped kitchen. On this level there is also a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and separate toilet. On the 1st floor, a mezzanine with relaxation area (sofa bed) overlooks the living room and gives access to a bathroom and a separate toilet. 2 steps lead to 1 bedroom with 1 bed 140 cm and a bedroom with 4 bunk beds 90 cm, faithfully furnished like the closed beds of yore. Basement with sink, 88 liter freezer, additional fridge, bicycles available. Oil heating for a surcharge based on consumption, firewood €5/day (based on consumption).
