The space: Very spacious split level apartment in the historic center of Girona. On the ground floor of a renovated apartment complex, close to the old city wall, cathedral and the other beautiful old buildings, gardens and streets. An apartment with a very open layout and sleeping accommodations for up to 5 people. Split level apartment with a very open layout. The three bedrooms cannot be closed and offer space for a maximum of 5 guests. There is a fully equipped kitchen with all modern conveniences, in addition to a spacious living room with a large extendable dining table. In the living room a comfortable sofa. There is wifi, TV and air conditioning.Two bedrooms are on a slightly higher level and the third is lower. All bedrooms are open and not lockable. So there is limited privacy.The bathroom with shower, toilet and sink is also located on the slightly higher part. Guest access: The apartment is on the ground floor of a renovated apartment complex. The entrance is on Carrer de Sacsimort, a quiet street with the car only accessible to licensees. However, you can come close, Carrer del Bellaire.The entrance is wide and modern. It is a spit level apartment and immediately after entering you have to climb a short flight of stairs to enter the apartment.When you are in the apartment, this is for you and only for you. Check-in: A late check-in is no problem but we do have a policy (after 21.00).´´Please note that a late check-in carries the following extra charges:- From 21:00 to 23:00, 20€;- From 23:00 to 00:00, 40€;- Check-in after 00:00 is in principle not possible.´´Of course if your plane is delayed and you arrive after 00.00 we will be there for you. Other things to note: The split level apartment has a special and open layout. It is located on the ground floor, but using stairs is inevitable in the apartment. As you can see on the pictures, the apartment is divided into 3 levels. Furthermore, there is a completely open layout and the bedrooms are not real rooms. They are not lockable and therefore offer little privacy. Furthermore, there is only one bathroom (with toilet and shower) and no second toilet. The neighborhood: Incredible area for its tranquility and history. The apartment is located in the old town of the city, close to the cathedral and very close to the historic city wall. The area is very quiet, but it has restaurants and bars just minutes away. You can visit the old town, but you can also take a walk to the east, along the Galligants river and within 10 minutes you are outside the city and enjoy the beautiful forest in the hills around Girona. Getting around: Girona has its own airport only 20 minutes away by taxi or you can catch a bus and that will cost you about 30 minutes. Buses stop at the train station, which is a 15-20 minute walk from the apartment.The train station has a high-speed connection with Barcelona. In about 35 minutes you are in the heart of that other great city of Catalonia.With the 'normal' train you can also go to Figueres to visit the famous and beautiful Dali museum.If you come by car, you have to take into account the parking possibilities. The historic district (where the apartment is located) has limited parking facilities. You can always stop a few minutes near the apartment so that you can unload the luggage. But then you have to park your car somewhere else. There are various parking options and places. If you are interested, we can arrange it for you and give it on arrival.There is for instance free parking at la Copa parking on the other side of the river in a short 5 minute walk.
