All within the immediate area: surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, SUPing (Stand Up Paddle), diving, bike riding, running paths, skateboarding and golf or sitting back and if relaxing is more your thing then chose from many of the beautiful surrounding beaches, parklands, cafes, bars, restaurants, spas, shops or designer boutiques to spend your time. - Located approximately 500 metres to beautiful beaches - A 2-5 minute stroll to cafes, supermarket, bar's, restaurants, boutique stores. - A 10 minute stroll to the surf shops. - Or take a short 5 minute drive to the famous Bells Beach. As well as Torquay’s famous surf beaches there are family-friendly beaches. During the summer season lifeguards patrol at various locations including Torquay Back Beach, Cosy Corner and Jan Juc Beach. Fisherman’s Beach is not patrolled but is a relatively safe beach with a wide shallow bar. Getting Around: Our beach house is within easy walking/riding distance to parks and shops. Buses to and from Torquay and Geelong (Number 50 or 51). Closest train station 15km away (Waurn Ponds station) for V/Line train Geelong- Melbourne. Torquay is 1 hour 15 mins by car from Melbourne. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants locally, with many more restaurants, wineries and breweries around the region. Nightjar Markets operate on Thursday nights through January, and are in walking distance. Adventure Park is also a great day out with the kids – approx. 40mins drive away.
