Relax in quiet serene native bush surroundings overlooking a gorgeous view of Lake Taupo and surrounded by wood pigeons and tui's. Sit on the large deck sipping a wine, or watch a DVD. We are approximately 40 minutes from the ski fields, 10 minutes from the Tokaanu hot pools and 10 minutes walk to the lake edge. Some of the best trout fishing in NZ is located in the area and within a 10 minute drive. The beach is great for swimming from, or taking out your boat, or kayak. Taupo is 50 minutes away. There's a small bar/restaurant at Oreti Village resort just 10-15 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive outside of the village. If you want to dine on the shores of the lake - the only place you can do that is at Lakeland house in Waihi village which is 10 minutes drive away. We have reliable broadband WIFI available and mobile reception is good (particularly if you are a Spark user) so you can spend a bit longer if you need to work remotely!
