Carriage 4388 offers you a generous art deco inspired living area to relax in. There is a cosy, Queen size bed, self contained kitchen/dining area and your own rain water shower. Movie buffs will also enjoy looking at our collection of old movie posters that line the walls. There are also plenty of DVDs, videos, magazines and board games to keep you entertained. There is a slow combustion wood fire - perfect on a cold winter Canberra day and in the warmer months the train also has air conditioning and windows that provide a nice through breeze. Close by is our spring fed brook where kangaroos and other wildlife can often be seen. The large wrap around verandah is an ideal spot for you to enjoy a BBQ whilst admiring the clear starlit skies, beautiful sunsets and stunning views of the nearby ranges from our rural property. This carriage is suitable for 2 adults. Strictly non smoking. Locality Nearby Attractions Many of our guests enjoy visiting nearby attractions such as the famous miniature English village of Cockington Green and the National Dinosaur Museum as well as shopping at the Gold Creek Village which has a range art galleries, gift shops and specialty stores. For the outdoor minded there are two golf courses, the Gold Creek County Club and Gungahlin Lakes , as well as the Gooroomon Ponds Riding School. There is also a beautiful sustainable day spa, the Geranium House that offers a variety of spa treatments and packages. All these and more are located within a 10 minute drive. Wineries Last Stop Ambledown Brook is within walking distance of the three award winning Hills of Hall Wineries: Brindabella Hills, Pankhurst and Surveyors Hill and within a 20 minute drive of a dozen more nationally recognized cool climate wineries such as Doonkuna , Helms and Clonakilla. Some of our guest’s favourites are Poacher’s Pantry, the Ugly Duckling Bistro in Hall Village and The Green Herring at Gold Creek . The George Harcourt Inn (an English Style Pub) can also be found at Gold Creek Village. Both Gungahlin and Dickson are within a 15 minute drive from the Last Stop and both offer a range of restaurants and fast food outlets. Markets For weekend guests there are a range of markets that sell everything from art, craft and regional produce to clothing, antiques and bric-a-brac. The Hall Markets feature hundreds of stalls and are held on the first Sunday of every month from 10am till 3pm. The multi-award winning Old Bus Depot Markets are held every Sunday from 10am till 4pm in Kingston. Vintage treasures, second hand books and great international food can be found at Gorman House Markets every Saturday from 10am till 4pm. For the real bargain hunter, Sunday Trash and Treasure markets are held in the Jamison Carpark in Macquarie and Woden Shopping Centre Carpark in Phillip from 5:30am till 1pm.
