The landscape is dotted with vineyards with ample opportunities for sampling local Bergerac wines and enjoying the excellent cuisine. This is an area steeped in history whose medieval towns host lively markets and are home to some stunning castles. Bergerac, the bastide town of Eymet and the medieval village of Issigeac are an easy drive.
