CHUI GITE - Newly renovated, spacious & elegant

Chui Gîte - 10 people, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. CHUI is the Swahili word in Kenya meaning Cheetah. This luxurious Gite stands by its name, beautiful and elegant. In the Haute-Vienne, Nouvelle Aquitaine region of France, Chui Gite sleeps ten people and offers luxury accommodation, peaceful surroundings with stunning views overlooking the lake. Bought as ruins, originally two houses, Chui Gite has been beautifully renovated to a modern Gite whilst retaining original features including beams, fireplaces and markings left on the property. The thick stone walls ensure cool interiors in the summer and warmth in the winter. There is a wood burner in the lounge and electric heating throughout. Chui Gite comprises of four bedrooms, one of which is downstairs, three bathrooms, a spacious lounge, a luxurious kitchen/diner and an external terrace overlooking the lake. Bedroom 1 – 1 x double bed (200x160) Bedroom 2 (ensuite) – 1 x double bed (200x160) Bedroom 3 – 1 x double bed (190x140) Bedroom 4 – 1 x double bed (190x140) plus 1 x bunk bed (bottom- 190 x 140, top-190 x 90) Bathrooms: an Italian shower room (ground floor), a family bathroom and an en-suite With the wood burner, a sack per day of wood pellets are provided, additional sacs can be purchased on site. Equipment for children is provided; high chair, travel cot, etc. WIFI is available (please bear in mind, we do not have fibre and we are in the countryside), there is also a signal booster providing mobile signal and 3G for most operators. There is a selection of DVDs, books and board-games on request. Between June - September, there is a small swimming pool onsite (3.1m x 0.76m). There are also plenty of other swimming pools in the local area, the first being 5 minutes away in Châteauponsac. On-site, there is a childrens’ play area (swings, slides) and a small fishing initiation pond for children, fishing equipment can be hired. A perfect place to keep the kids amused whilst the parents relax and soak up the sun. There is also Lac de Saint Pardoux, 15 minutes drive, a 330 hectare man made lake with 3 beaches, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool with water slides, a wellness area, facilities for water sports and a rope assault course in the trees. Pets are not accepted in the Gite. The gite is not accessible to disabled people with reduced mobility. Tourist packs with leaflets and brochures for the surrounding area, including places of interest, restaurants and local events are provided in the Gites. Breakfast and Evening meals can be catered for, please discuss directly with the owner.
