This charming stone cottage is comfortably furnished and has a spacious conservatory overlooking the large (10m x10mx12m) triangular pool and the landscape beyond. The property is located on a small, country lane in the beautiful countryside of the Lot and so benefits not only from its tranquil rural position but is also close to many places of interest. Nearby is the Gouffre de Padirac (3km) – a wonderful series of underground caves you can explore by boat. To the West is Rocamadour (15km) which has been attracting pilgrims for centuries and now also attracts tourists. It is one of the most visited tourist centres in France. As well as the church of Notre Dame and the famous Black Madonna it has other attractions such as the Monkey Forest and the Eagle Sanctuary. Rocamadour is also known for its small round goats' cheeses which are well worth sampling. To the North is the valley of the Dordogne (6km) where you can swim, fish and hire canoes and kayaks. The region is a paradise for walkers and there is no shortage of choice when it comes to eating out. For those with a historical bent the region will not disappoint. This property is perfect for a memorable holiday as there is something for everyone of all ages and tastes. There is also a shared jacuzzi (against fee). NB.
