Enjoy superb views from your deck, hand feed friendly native birds, take one of our complimentary kayaks out for a paddle on the lake, drop a line in off the jetty, amble along local tracks to visit nearby galleries or toast marshmallows and stargaze around your private outdoor fire-pit. Jetty Road Retreat features four, 2 bedroom self contained cabins offering clean, comfortable, relaxed accommodation for couples, families, individuals or groups to enjoy. Our complimentary on site facilities include private jetty, kayaks with paddles and vests, shared laundry and BBQ facilities, and a designated fish cleaning area to clean your catch. A Closer Look At Our Cabins Each of our four 2 bedroom cabins offer superb views of the Gippsland Lakes, with room for up to 5 guests. Each cabin is equipped with split system air conditioning for year round comfort, plus ceiling fans and large windows designed to capture the gentle coastal breezes. Bedding configuration is a queen bed plus a trilogy bunk in second bedroom (double bed with a single bunk up top) with deluxe hotel bed and bath linen and toiletries supplied. Our kitchens are fully equipped wth electric stove, microwave and full size fridge, plus plenty of cookware and basic kitchen provisions (foil, clingwrap, tea/coffee etc). Built in the '70s, each cabin has been lovingly maintained offering you a feelgood retro charm, and a place you'll feel instantly at home. Each cabin has parking for up to two cars (or car and trailer), and the foreshore area can accommodate extra vehicles if required. Sorry, we are wildlife friendly so pets are not permitted at Jetty Road Retreat. Our sister property - Country House Retreat - is pet friendy and wheelchair accessible if we can't meet your needs at Jetty Road Retreat. Nearby Attractions With the Gippsland Lakes on your doorstep, get out and make a splash! The adjacent foreshore area provides sheltered, sandy access to the lake, ideal for a paddle or a swim for all ages. Bring your canoe, kayak, paddle board or boat to venture out and explore the Gippsland Lakes, islands and inland waterways. We also have a number of kayaks available for guests to use on a complimentary basis. Dangle a fishing line off the jetty and try your luck at bagging a bream, flathead, whiting or salmon. Or just sit back with a glass of wine and watch the boats go by. Bring your bike and experience the world class mountain bike trails within nearby Colquhoun forest. Pack a picnic and drive a few minutes to Nyerimilang Park, a historic homestead set in beautiful gardens with clifftop views of the Lakes and scenic walking tracks. Check out the studios of Nungurner’s contemporary jewellery makers - Oneofftwo - and find a special keepsake from your visit. Head to a nearby farmers' market (in Metung second Saturday of the month). Whilst in Metung, take a walk from the Village Green along the boardwalk to Chinaman’s Creek. Grab some fish and chips and sit and watch the fishing fleets returning at Lakes Entrance. Or simply slow down, pour a glass of bubbles and immerse yourself in the beauty of your surroundings.
