Buffalo Bed and Bike - Farm and Mountain View

Enjoy a relaxing stay on a 2.5 acre rural property with fantastic views of Mount Buffalo and the Ovens Valley. Located on the rail trail, this spacious three bedroom home is ideal for families and small groups wanting to cycle, hike, fish, or visit the many nearby attractions. The Alpine resorts are an hour away and the region is famous for mountain biking and snow sports. You can cycle along the sealed cycle path to Bright with Feathertop Winery and Porepunkah to visit along the way. Or cycle in the other direction towards Myrtleford, even as far as Wangaratta and Beechworth on the rail trail if you love distance cycling. There is also the nearby peak of Mount Buffalo to climb - a favourite ride for keen cyclists. The area is also mountain biking Nirvana with the famous Mystic Mountain Bike Park nearby at Bright. The bedrooms have a queen bed, double bed and 2 single beds respectively. There is also a sofa-bed in the family room, a portacot and extra single bed which can be located where you choose. All beds are made up with fresh linen and doonas and have electric blankets in winter. Towels, toiletries and tea/coffee are supplied. The house has a full bathroom and separate toilet, fully appointed kitchen and laundry, and a large covered out-door entertaining area which includes a BBQ, dining table and lounge suite The house has reverse cycle heating and cooling. Each of the two living areas has a large flat screen TV. During the colder months the combustion wood heater can be used and we supply firewood at $20 per wheel barrow load.
