Appleby 24 - Whole House - cosy + characterful

****** 20% discount on 7 plus nights ******** Appleby 24 is a a cosy character property, oozing charm and comfort with underfloor heating throughout and everything you need for a romantic break or family getaway. However as a terraced cottage, please note it has neighbours and is definitely not a party house. With an off road onsite private parking space and within a few minutes walking distance of the train and bus station, getting out and about could not be easier. The house boasts 3 bedrooms, a twin and a master double with a special raised bed on the first floor (don't worry we provide a step to help you get in and out if required!) and a garden double bedroom ensuite on the ground floor with doors opening on to the patio. There is a beautiful family bathroom with gorgeous Italian green glass mosaic tiles. The bath has taps in the middle so there is room for two mini guests and grown up guests alike. There is even room to balance the compulsory glass of wine or gin and tonic around the edge. We provide bed linen, towels, bath mats and tea towels as standard. The house comfortably sleeps 6 adults, but there is only seating around the table and in the sitting room for 5. We suggest maximum occupancy of 5 adults and one infant. The master and garden room ensuite, both have TVs for your leisure and there is loads of room to hang your smart jackets and posh frocks in every room. Cases can be stored in the utility space, or the room off the master bedroom, you won't be short of space! There is room for shoes and coats for mountain hikes (and maybe even a bike or two?!) in the back porch. We have even left a washing machine and tumble dryer to ensure you have everything you need. The sitting room is bright and cheerful with 2x2 seater couches, a comfy chair and a mini beanbag. There is loads of information about where to go and where to eat and drink. There are walking guides and a full set of Lake District OS maps at your disposal. The TV is big enough (43inch), 4k, Smart and you can watch your favourite flicks on Disney and catch up with the best box sets on Netflix. There is also Wifi throughout. Please note, there is no wood burning stove. It has been decommissioned and must not be used. We have popped in some candles though to help make up for it. If you are traveling with little ones, we have a high chair, a variety of toys, a potty, a travel cot and a step to help get on the loo. Outside you have a private sunny patio to sit relax and plan you next adventure. Unfortunately, Appleby 24 does not accept pets and is strictly non smoking. Kendal itself, a 5 minute walk, is a fantastic little market town, home to some lovely shops, cafes, bars and restaurants and even has a fantastic castle. You have some great walks from your door at Appleby 24, but if you want to go further afield and explore the Lakes, we are well placed for you to either travel North, into the Central Lakes and even into the Yorkshire Dales.
