Château du Rivière

This truly stunning detached holiday property is set in the grounds of the owner's elegant 19th century château. It has been restored to a good standard, remarkably decorated with antique furnishings, tastefully chosen with care to compliment the many features, whilst including modern fabrics and fittings in the kitchen and bathrooms. The French windows lead onto a gravelled terrace on which guests can enjoy a glass of local wine in total privacy. There is a shared swimming pool near the owner's château, 125m away. One of the highlights of this property is that the owner is a horse lover and permits guests to bring their own horses lodged in good standard stables. Rivière has an amazing position close to famous Chinon and its vineyards. It is also a delightful spot for visiting some of the finest châteaux in France: Saumur, Villandry and Azay Le Rideau are all within a short distance. Cycling along the Rivers Loire and Vienne is for the sporty visitors, as well as horse riding, boating and golfing. The owners produce their wine (Château de Rivière) which you can taste and visit the wine cellar during your stay. Please note that: Bed linen and towels are not included in the room rate. Guests have to rent them at the property for an additional charge of EUR 15.00 per person. Consumption costs are not included in the room rate and will be charged according to guest use within 3 weeks after check-out.
